Editing Days 9 - 14

As we now have all our footage. We were able to put all the pieces together so they can flow much more easily. As a group we really enjoyed editing day 2 because we used a variety of shots and angels    which once put together, flowed really nicely. We then had to edit the colours of the cargo as this was still dark. We added backing tracks to go with day 1 and day 2 as the actor is wearing headphones, which allows the audience to listen to what the actor is listening too.

This week (Week 7) as a group we discussed the following:

• What type of images we should use for our film poster. 
• We carried out a survey to find out what name people preferred for our film and the chosen name was 'On The Run'.
• We discussed how we should do the credits and what names to include for what role, we also added the names of people who helped us from outside our group.
• What ways to make the score be heard over the radio music.

This week (Week 6) as a group we discussed the following:

• What sound we would need to add within our short film to emphasise the actions within the film e.g make it creepier. 
• What parts of the film we need to take out as the film is over the length of time it needs to be (5 minutes).
• What to say on t he broadcast as it needed to be changed to give the audience a clearer understanding of what is happening in the film.
• What type of establishing shots to use at the beginning of our film to set the scene.
• What we need to do with dark scenes in the film as it is hard to see what is happening. We did this by using colour correction - a tool on final cut pro.

Filming Day 4

Today i've had to do re-shoots of day 2 running scene. This was a very productive time as we were able to make it more creepier by instead of the potential killer (me) running and chasing actual killer (Shorai). We decided that it would better that i walk and not start running until she has stopped and started doing her stretches. We also chose to do a lot of handheld scenes looking through the eyes of the actor. We also had an assistant today - Precious. Who was able to record our footsteps as we went through leaves to add to the effect of the scenes. We was able to film everything in 1 hour and 30 mins, this was the time schedule we set ourselves so we can film the cargo scene on the same day. When we got back to college we was able to find another assistant - Imtiaz. He was able to help us empty the cargo container. The cargo container was quicker this time as we left the item that gave us difficulties last time, inside the container. We then used this as a prop for Shorai to sit on. While filming we was able to get another assistant - Lasharna, who was able to hold the lights so the camera a can see the actors.

We was able to finish filming the cargo container scene within our time schedule and again find another assistant - Zak, to help us put the equipment back inside the cargo in less than 10 minutes.

Weather Report Day 4

This is the weather report for our final filming day. Today we are filming day 2 scene located at hollow ponds again as before the videos were very dark. After we film at hollow ponds we are then going back to college to film inside the cargo container doing all the scenes again and the scenes we did not do.

Editing Days 6, 7 and 8

On these editing days we focused on what items we will need to re-shoot as a lot of our work is really dark due to the lighting conditions outside - an external factor which we could not control. After working out what we needed to re-do, we realised that as we have to redo day 2 and the cargo scene. There is nothing i which we can edit of what we have from that already. So as a group we decided that the best thing for us to do and not waste any of our time in the edit suite, is to start editing the day one scenes. We had to change the colours so they would match each clip so it does not look like different times of the day.

This week (Week 5) as a group we discussed the following:

• That as a group we should try and find people which can help us empty the cargo container and also help us put the items back, as this makes it quicker for us to start filming. 
• That Benedicte will be our main camera woman as i (Simone) can no longer do it as i am now one of the actors actor. 
• We are deciding what kind of pictures will look good as a poster and also looking at if we should take some photos in the locations we are filming at (Hollow ponds and cargo container) to put in the posters as well. 
• To use close up and extreme close ups to set the scene rather than just using an establishing shot. 
• That while we are filming we should take pictures of what we are doing so we can put it on our blog to show what we were doing on this day, rather than just talking about it. 
• Talking about what days to shoot our scenes as we are now behind schedule.

Editing day 5

Today it was just our camera women working on our video as we were unable to attend and help her as we had college comments to do for another department. Overall i am proud that she was able to get on with the work and be able to complete the task of completing the task of changing the chosen videos we already have edited. To then match each other in contrast.

Editing day 4

Today we found another new technique in changing the colour of the videos. This new technique allows use to make the video more yellow or more blue. Bright or Dark. Making it easier for us as a group to change our settings to make it more gloomy as some videos we filmed was very bright compared to others which was really dark.
